CBL Playoff Structure reminder

With the CBL post-season fast approaching, there is a reminder below of the important dates and format for the CBL playoffs.

Only Tier two sides are eligible for the post season, with the top two teams from Group A, B and C all progressing.

The eight-team post-season field will be made up of three league winners, three league runners up plus the two best third placed teams, based on win percentage.

Teams will then play in a #1 v #8, #2 v #7 etc format.

The opening round of the playoffs, the elite eights, will take place on Wednesday 15 March, with the following round, the final fours, going ahead of Wednesday 22 March.

As in previous seasons, the highest seeded team in any fixture will hold home court advantage.

The CBL final will be played at Manchester’s National Basketball Performance Centre on Wednesday 29 March, along with the WEABL and EABL finals on the same day.
