ABL Player of Week 12 – Cyon James

After helping Nottingham Academy Wildcats to a win over Archbishop Beck Catholic College in a back-and-forth affair, Cyon James has been selected as the ABL Player of the Week!
James recorded a do it all stat line of 24 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, three steals and three blocks for an efficiency rating of 37. The contest would see-saw throughout, with James’ contribution eventually proving to be pivotal for the hosts.
“I’m happy to get player of the week but happier we got the win,” confessed James, after receiving the award.
“I’d also like to thank my teammates and my coaches for doing an amazing job and hopefully we can continue winning.”
“Cyon has settled in well here at the Academy and is really starting to show everybody what he is capable of,” added head coach Kieran Wright.
“His ceiling is high and the last few games he has raised the bar. Now is the time for him to really push himself and continue to improve.”
