Uxbridge College vs Harris Academy St John’s Wood

Uxbridge College used a strong fourth quarter comeback to grab a narrow 76-73 home victory over Harris Academy St John’s Wood.

Uxbridge won the final stanza 23-15 to take home the come-from-behind win, led by Byron Emerenini who had 10 points in the fourth period and supported by Himmatpal Singh’s nine points in the quarter.

Throughout the game, Uxbridge leaned on a balanced attack that was led by Emerenini’s game-high 25 points and Singh’s 21 points. The hosts also got support from Ahmed Kahn who added 12 points. HASJW were led by strong performances from Christian Avram who paced his squad with 20 points, while Romel Espanillo added 19 and Omar El-Saedy contributed eight points in the narrow loss.

Following the Christmas holidays, Uxbridge College will travel to play King Henry School to begin their 2019 schedule on Wednesday 9 January, while HASJW will visit to New City College on the same day.
