Three Rivers Academy 26 – 72 COHENEL
- Updated: January 14, 2020
COHENEL eased past a depleted Three Rivers outfit on the road, earning a 72-26 win.
The visitors cruised to victory as a short handed Three Rivers team missing two starters and losing their leading scorer Brett Greenwood to injury in the first quarter had no answer for COHENELS inside presence. COHENEL dominated the offensive boards, collecting eight in the first quarter alone which resulted in multiple second chance points. After building a commanding 17-36 lead the visitors never looked back, turning the defensive pressure up in the second half, holding the hosts to just nine points in the final half. They would run out to a convincing 26-72 win.
Danny Ayliffe led the home team with 16 points, while the visitors’ balanced attack was led by T. Ojuri’s 11 points and A. Celebi and K. Kaplon who chipped in with 10 apiece.
Next up, Three Rivers play host to Ealing and Hammersmith while COHENEL are on the road to league leaders St. Charles in a top of the table clash.
