Stoke on Trent College vs Moulton College

Stoke-on-Trent College defended their home court in formidable fashion against Moulton College, winning a lop-sided game 155-37.

Stoke had an electric start to the game, scoring 50 in the first period. The hosts were led by sharpshooter Bayley Gaunt, who went 6-12 from the three-point line in the quarter.

Moulton struggled to break the various defensive strategies thrown at them by Stoke, as the home team took advantage of this forcing a total of 19 turnovers throughout the game. Moulton’s Zach Dixon tried to rally his team throughout, pacing his squad with 20 points, but this would not be enough.

Stoke had four players contribute 25+ points, as Gaunt continued his hot shooting to finish the game with a 45 point haul. Michael Jara chipped in a solid double-double of 28 points and 12 rebounds.

Stoke Coach Shawn Jamison had this to say after the game, “I am pleased to win the game today, but I believe we can improve on certain aspects of our defense, and at times lacked precision when finishing at the rim.”
