Stoke on Trent College vs County Upper School

Stoke-on-Trent hosted County Upper in a highly anticipated match up. The game lived up to its hype, as both teams came out ready to play, in a fast-paced and high scoring affair.

The game was neck-to-neck throughout, with several lead changes in the first quarter, with both teams looking to gain momentum. County Upper showed lots of energy in the first half, which was highlighted by a big and-one dunk from Asuzu. Stoke remained solid and held the lead into the half. In the second half, Stoke continued to hold strong behind Mike Jara. He took over the scoring for Stoke, utilising the pick and roll to get to the bucket and finished with a massive 38 points in the game. County Upper refused to give up and showed heart with some strong post play and activity on the boards from Asuzu, to come within 12 points from being down 19. 

Standout performers for Stoke-on-Trent were Mike Jara and Orlando Pope (15 points, 11 rebounds). For County Upper, Asuzu had 26 points and 11 rebounds, and Nelson added 15 points with 4 assists.

On the 27th February, County Upper face Nottingham, and Stoke play Moulton College.
