St Thomas The Apostle Sixth Form 57 – 76 Northfleet Technology College
- Updated: January 28, 2020
With St. Thomas the Apostle College, starting the year 3-1, there was much optimism against playoff contenders, Northfleet.
However, Northfleet started strongly hitting four 3 pointers in the first quarter to take a 29-18 lead.
Northfleet, led by the Longman brothers (combined for 47 points) continued to move the ball around, creating easy looks for the visitors.
Michael Asaolu (11 points) and Jermaine Thompson (13 points) helped close the lead for the hosts in the third, mainly in transition.
STAC struggled to find their way offensively throughout the game and eventually cam unstuck in the fourth quarter as Northfleet took a 76-57 away victory
STAC next take on Joan Roan on a rescheduled fixture, whilst Northfleet finish the regular season 12-6 and are assured a top four finish and look forward to the competing in the playoffs.
