St Thomas the Apostle Sixth Form College 92 – 75 Barton Peveril College

St. Thomas the Apostle hosted Barton Peveril on a rare Monday for a rescheduled fixture, as the home team came away with a 92-75 victory.

However, the visitors started strongly edging the first quarter 22-20, with STAC stuttering on offense. As the game progressed, the hosts relied on young guard Ezekiel Oyede to lead the offense with array of assists as well as scoring.

Barton kept pushing through H. Culpitt and Y. Ocakli (Both 18 points) who led all scorers in the game but could not compete with the young STAC squad down the stretch.

Eventually STAC found a way to push the lead in the second half, led by Kofi Oppong (16 points) and Jermaine Thompson (16 points) and come out with the win.

Both teams host games this Wednesday as STAC take on the undefeated Holy Trinity, whilst Barton take on The North School at home.
