St Thomas the Apostle College vs The North School

The North School continued their winning streak in the ABL Eastern Conference by defeating an injury-plagued St Thomas the Apostle College squad 81-91.

With STAC missing two of their starters, they started brightly – relying heavily on their remaining regular starters, Moses Gordon, Michael Asaolu and Rawle Allicock.

The game remained close throughout, but The North school pushed away with the help of 71% FT shooting (23/32) and some big threes from Jay Parnell and Harvey Kemp-Green to secure the victory.

“Credit should go to The North School for their great shooting and finding a way to close out the game,” said STAC Coach Ryan Abeleda. “I am disappointed we lost, but it was really positive that the final quarter saw the team get some stops. Regardless of the injuries we have suffered as a team, I am glad we found a way to be competitive. I know results will come our way, if we continue to play hard.”

The North School’s Sean Trumper finished with a team-high 30 points and 10 rebounds, supported by captain Jay Parnell who added 26. STAC were paced by 44 points from Rawle Allicock, whilst Moses Gordon contributed a 21 point, 12 rebound double-double to go along with with 4 assists.

The North School hope to continue their rich vein of form at home against the unbeaten CoHENEL on Wednesday 28 November, whilst STAC take on Barking & Dagenham College in a rescheduled game on Monday 19 November.
