Sir Robert Woodard Academy vs New City College

Sir Robert Woodard Academy looked to see if they could get there second win of their season but suffered a defeat against New City College on Wednesday.

Sir Robert Woodard Academy started off well with a 21 – 12 lead in the 1st quarter. But by the end of the 2nd quarter, New City College had done enough at this point to be 5 points up at the half. By the end of the second half, New City college had kept their defensive intensity to have won the game with a 92-67 away win against their host. Despite some great individual performances from V.Krayduba 14 points A. Fletcher 16 and K.Marrett 19, New City College came out of the half all guns blazing and were led to victory by recent Player of the Week Aaron Badino, who finished with a whopping 39 points in another outstanding performance.

Coach James Brame said, ‘We have clearly improved from game to game but we now have to maintain our defensive structure but not only that we need to start learning from our mistakes. This season is all about us learning together? I also like the fact that the boys never give up no matter what hurdles they may face when the ball is thrown up to start the game.’

Aaron Badino led New City College with 39 pts and 21pts by O.Vaqsiliauskas. Sir Robert Woodard Academy were led by K. Marrett with 21 pts.

Sir Robert Woodard  Academy will face off against Three Rivers while New City College play Uxbridge College next week.
