Nottingham Academy 78-92 Carmel College

Nottingham Academy took their second loss of the season, being taken down 78-92 by Carmel College.

Ellis Evons was too much to handle as he dropped a cool 36 points on Nottingham’s lacklustre paint protection.

The game was tight and neither team seemed to be able to pull away. Nottingham’s guards couldn’t break Carmel’s traps and would turn the ball over 16 times through the course of the game.

“Great performance by Carmel and hats off to Coach Dominic! They found a weakness and they continued to exploit it throughout the game. Ellis was fantastic, displaying his array of skill in and around the paint area.”

“Our guys were competitive on the defensive end this week, which I am pleased with but our efforts on the boards were not good enough,” said coach Kieran Wright

Ellis Evons had 36 points and 13 rebounds, while Nottingham were led by Sami Bieeu with 20 pints and 8 rebounds

Both teams head into he Christmas break looking to refresh themselves as they prepare for the second half of the season.
