Nottingham Academy 73-66 Archbishop Beck Catholic College

Nottingham Academy got back on track to winning ways, beating Archbishop Beck 73-66.

The game was close throughout with no clear gap. Every time Nottingham tried to pull away, Archbishop had an answer for them, whether it was a late three pointer or a last second drive to the basket.

“It was a difficult game today, as Archbishop caused us issues with their different zones. We are carrying a lot of injuries which opened the door for the lesser experienced guys on the squad. It was a great opportunity for them to see competition and play in that environment. It was a good lesson and tested them. There is still much to improve but I am happy that they earned themselves the win,” said Coach Kieran Wright

Archbishop were lead by Dario Mataj with 31 points and Nottingham were lead by Cyon James with 24 points.

Nottingham take on Carmel at home next week and Archbishop will hope to have another strong showing and get a win.
