Northfleet Technology College vs Barking & Dagenham College

Northfleet Technology College picked up their second win of the season on Wednesday afternoon, beating Barking & Dagenham College 76-28 at home.

Northfleet forced the away side into some early turnovers but could not convert on the offensive end in the first quarter, as the game started in a very sloppy manner. Both teams had numerous miscues to begin the contest, as Northfleet held an 11-4 advantage at the end of a low scoring first stanza. The hosts found some composure on the offensive end in the second period, managing to convert in transition, as they headed into the half-time interval leading 37-6.

The game continued in the same vein in the third, with Northfleet leading the contest 56-9 heading into the final 10 minutes. The game was over as a contest, but BDC continued to play hard and with more composure in the fourth which saw the game finish 76-28 in Northfleet’s favour.

Daniel Agiddi led Northfleet with 15 points, while Temitayo Fatusin added 12 and Owen Longman chipped in 11 for the home side. BDC where paced by 11 points from Lukas Vilgolskis in the loss.

Northfleet guard Daniel Agiddi said, “We showed great energy today and hopefully our team will learn from this game and show this same consistency and energy throughout our next games.”

Coach Martin Parry added, “It was good to get back to winning ways today, after some disappointing losses. We started the game well which is something that we have struggled to do in the past few games.”

“Credit should go to the Barking & Dagenham players who never gave up and played well in the fourth quarter,” Coach Parry added.

Northfleet will travel to Leyton Sixth Form College next Wednesday, while BDC host Havering Sixth Form College in the next round of ABL Eastern Conference fixtures.
