Moulton College vs Stoke on Trent College

Stoke College win away against Moulton College 129-33.

The first quarter saw Stoke leap out to a 31- 6 lead over Moulton. Moulton were getting up shots but failed to convert. Moulton’s effective transition play gave them some points on the board before Stoke adjusted to stop the runs. The second quarter saw Stoke dominate the home team, dropping 40 points in the quarter. Moulton had a short run and managed to get up to 16 points, but turnovers, strong defence and transition offence gave Stoke a comfortable quarter lead with a half time score 22-71.

In the third, Moulton found it hard to move the ball and with the pressure applied by Stoke, the game remained a similar story with Moulton being restricted to just 6 points in comparison to Stoke’s 34. Stoke came out to start the fourth strong and finished with 24 points in the quarter, with Moulton limited to 5 points for the final quarter.

“This was always going to be a tough game, against a well drilled and organised Stoke team who inflicted a heavier defeat earlier in the season” said new Moulton College Head Coach Tom Brinkley.

B. Guant lead all scorers with 34 points while T.Odeny lead Moulton scorers with 9 points. Moulton College’s next game is away to Nottingham on March 6th, while Stoke are at away to County Upper on March 1.
