Harris City Academy CP 81 v 69 King Henry School

Harris City Academy Crystal Palace made it 3 wins out of 3 at home on Wednesday afternoon by defeating King Henry School 81-69.

This was a clash of two undefeated teams, both boasting records of 2-0. The game was an evenly fought contest in the first quarter but King Henry had managed to stretch out a 9 point lead at the half.

A strong 3rd quarter push lead HCACP to open up a 5 point gap going into the 4th. This was extended in the final period as HCACP moved 12 points clear with only 4 mins to go and were able to easily see out the game.

N Mohamed and S Simpson tried to keep King Henry in the hunt for their third win but valuable point production from HCACPs bench, namely Dillon Essien and Aaron Smith both with 9 points, really helped rally HCACP at vital times.

“We made a lot of mistakes, myself included, in this game but I am very happy with the win and the teams performance at clutch times. We can only get better “ said Harris’ William Bidi, after helping his team to victory.

His sentiment was echoed by teammate Aaron Smith, who said: “It’s a great win for the team. I wasn’t expecting to play any minutes so to come on and help the team win is an amazing feeling”.

For HCACP, Bidi lead all scorers with 29 points, 9 rebounds 3 assists. Reece Price-Harrison finished with a double-double of 13 points and a team high 14 rebounds. King Henry were led by Simpson with 21 points and N Mohamed with 20 points.

HCACP will look to continue their strong start on Wednesday 16th October when they host Northfleet Technology College. King Henry will take on St Thomas the Apostle Sixth Form College on the 9th October.
