Harris Academy St John’s Wood 78 – 57 Uxbridge College

HASJW recorded the forth win of the season, defeating Uxbridge College 78-57.

The start of the game belonged to HASJW, who took an early 9 point lead. The visitors from Boris Johnson’s constituency made adjustments in their defensive schemes which resulted in 8 straight points to take the game under control. After few lead exchanges the hosts went to the half time interval with 33-30 lead. HASJW took control of the game in the third quarter and never looked back.

“Credit goes to our bench who gave us much needed energy on defensive end in the second half of the game. Consequently, our offence improved significantly and we were able to get some easy baskets as well as outside shots behind the three point line,” commented HASJW Head Coach Predrag Krneta.

Christian Barbieri finished with 32 points to lead all scorers. Petkovic and Lanoy added 10 each for HASJW whilst Uxbridge were led by 21 from McCoy and 16 from Gurung.

HASJW will host next Wednesday tough opponent in Oasis Academy. Uxbridge College takes on College of Haringey, Enfield and East London.
