Harris Academy St John’s Wood 90 – 98 Oasis Academy (After 1OT)

Oasis Academy ended HASJW four game winning streak with hard earned 98-90 overtime victory on Wednesday late afternoon.

The game was close affair throughout the first half. The visitors took a commanding 12 point lead in the 4th period but the HASJW showed once again resilience and level the score with Barbieri’s three pointer to take the game into overtime. The hosts were unable to find answers for Karyiek Dixon’s power game under the rim in extra time, which proved to be deciding factor for the outcome of the game.

“This was a very good basketball game and we are very happy to come out on the winning end of it,” said Oasis head coach Perry Lawson.

Christian Barbieri led all scorers with 37 points, Chaoibi added 25 points and 11 rebounds for HASJW, whilst Oasis Academy were led by 27 from Sayles, 24 from Dixon and 23 from Bobala.

HASJW are travelling to Capital City next Wednesday and Oasis will make a short trip to COHENEL in the next round of the competition.
