COHENEL 91 v 49 West Thames College

Strong play from COHENEL helped them win 91 – 46 against West Thames.

In an opening quarter which seen teams scoring back and fourth it was COHENEL who took an early lead of 8 points after the 1st quarter. They were able to push that lead up to 19 to end the first half.

In the 3rd quarter the hosts were able to force numerous turnovers which lead to easy fast break points. As a result of this they were able to secure a comfortable win.

Abdul Rafique led the visitors with 13 points. Kenrose Esumobi chipped in with 9 points.

Joseph Powell led the home side with 25 points while Blessing Makanda added 17 more.

COHENEL coach AJ Roberts said: “I thought we executed well and play great team ball. Still minor mistakes we’re making but we’ll work on that in practice.”
