Capital City Academy 86 v 52 Uxbridge College

Capital City claimed a convincing 86-52 win at home again West London rivals, Uxbridge College.

The game remained closed throughout first period with both teams trading baskets. However aggressive defence by hosts saw them limiting visitors to 14 points in 2nd period while scoring 34 of their own. Capital City took 48-26 lead into the half time break

The home team never looked back to take pressure off and extended lead to 78-32 halfway through 3rd quarter. That difference remained until the final buzzer.

Capital City head coach Daniel Szatkowski said: “After first poor game from us we finally got our rhythm back and played the way we normally do. Great contribution from my first years which is very positive sign. We are definitely looking to put extra work before important away game next week.”

Capital City’s Josh Alimi led all scorers with 17 with support from Kevin Kolesnikovas on 11. Richie Bumba top scored for Uxbridge with 15 points.

Capital City next head to Oasis Academy while Uxbridge College will host EHW London College.
