Capital City Academy 81 – 88 Oasis Academy

Capital City lost an important game to playoff contenders Oasis Academy, going down by a score of 88-81.

The hosts  jumped into early lead of 8 points however personal fouls caused lots of issues with rotation for coach D. Szatkowski’s side.

Regardless of the lead for Capital City, it was Oasis who capitalised from the charity line and established 12 points lead halfway through 2nd period, making it a 1 point game at the half.

Despite building a five point advantage midway through the 3rd, Capital City couldn’t maintain their strong position as the visitors used their advantage in the paint to collect an eventual win.

“It’s yet another frustrating home loss. Bad shot selection and early foul trouble took its toll in this game. We have day to regroup before really important away game so we need to be on top of our game,” said head coach Dan Szatkowski,

Home team top scorers were K.Kolesnikovas with 20, backed by J.Alimi with 17 while visitors top scorer was S.Bobala with 24

Capital City is looking to visit COHENEL on Thursday night while Oasis will host Hammersmith College after Christmas break.
