Player of the Week: Louis Roberts

Louis Roberts has picked up ABL Player of the Week after a near triple-double for Holy Trinity School in their narrow 75-74 win over New City College in Week 8.

The 6’1″ guard shot 9-13 from the field to lead his squad with 22 points, 18 rebounds, nine assists and two steals. Roberts’ near triple-double effort came in an important win for the Crawley-based academy, which snapped a three-game losing streak with victory over their East London visitors.

Roberts said, “I am grateful to receive Player of the Week, and I want to thank all the players and coaching staff at Holy Trinity who push me to be as good as I can be, on and off the court. I’m excited to see what this team can do moving forwards.”

Holy Trinity Coach Daniel Hildreth said, “It’s not a surprise to me that Louis has been awarded Player of the Week, it was just a matter of time. He works exceptionally hard and holds himself accountable for his actions. I’m really proud of him and believe this won’t be the last time we see his name on the award this season.”
