Player of the Week: Elijah Walsh

Elijah Walsh has been named ABL Player of the Week, as the Queen Ethelburga’s School guard dropped 34 points in a 115-52 Northern Conference victory over John Leggott College.

Walsh backed up his scoring effort with contributions all over the box score, as the 6’3″ guard added 12 rebounds, nine assists, three steals and five blocks.

Walsh said, “I’m really grateful to have been given this award in just my second week playing ABL basketball. I feel like we have done a great job setting both team and individual goals for the season and I’m excited to see how many of them we can achieve.”

Meanwhile, Queen Ethelburga’s Coach Josh Metcalf added, “We are thrilled with Elijah’s start here at QE. I think most people would say when they first see him play he has real potential to be special. But more impressive than that for us is how quickly he has settled into school life in every aspect and the impact he is making on the whole school both on and off the court. We are really proud of him for this achievement and excited to see the progress he makes while with us.”
