Sam Kesinro has earned the latest Player of the Week award after helping County Upper remain unbeaten in Week 12.

Kesinro fired in 27 points to lead his side to an 83-70 success against Alec Reed – who had also been unbeaten – with County Upper now 8-0.

“I am very grateful to be selected as the ABL Player of the Week,” he said.

“My hard work and efforts are slowly starting to show, however I have to keep on pushing myself to the limit, improving all areas of my game everyday.

“I would like to thank my team mates and my coach because if it weren’t for them pushing me hard in practice, I would not have achieved this award.”

Head Coach Darren Johnson added: “Sam has a great motor, will always give 100% and challenges his team-mates at ever individual and team practice

“He is a great student and player, and is finally starting to find himself at the offensive end of the court this season as shown in our game against Alec Reed.

“He is a tough defensive player with an ability to score, and as he continues to develop and understands how to read the game he will undoubtedly become a player that has a great chance of taking his game further.

“It is always fun coaching a player who has Sam’s talent and personality.”

County Upper look to continue their winning start when they take on Long Road on Wednesday.
