ABL 17/18 – Week 11 Round Up

Check out what happened in the eleventh week of the 2017-18 ABL season..

Northern Conference

Aston Manor moved to 8-0 as they inflicted a second loss on nearest rivals, Queen Ethelburga’s as they won 76-88 on the road in overtime.

Zack Powell top scored with 22 points, while Conroy Hayden finished with a dominant double-double of 18 points and 20 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Stoke on Trent College claimed their sixth win as they defeated Archbishop Beck 78-61 with Marcel Kofi netting 25 points in the win.

Tyne Met improved to 3-5 with a 59-51 success at home to Nottingham, while Gateshead returned to winning ways as Themba Yabantu had 23 points and 10 assists in a 106-48 victory against The Sheffield College.

Carmel College levelled their season record as they saw off Vision West Notts College in a 68-74 road triumph.

STANDINGS

Central Conference

Alec Reed joined County Upper on a 7-0 start to the season as they eased to a 47-94 victory away at Haringey with Victor Olarerin netting 27 points.

Uxbridge picked up their second win as they beat Aylesbury 60-51 behind big double-doubles from Richie Bumba and Himatpal Singh.

Also, CoHENEL claimed a narrow road win as they edged out Gateway for a 54-57 success to move into third spot.

STANDINGS

Eastern Conference

Erith maintained their unbeaten run as they won 68-55 at home to Northfleet with Michael Adebayo leading the way with 20 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 9 steals.

Meanwhile, Raines improved to a 4-1 record after easing to a 108-53 win at home to Havering with a 30-point haul for Simon Olanipekun.

STANDINGS

Southern Conference

Hackney moved level at the top with St Charles after beating the defending champions 86-101 on the road as Aaron Badibo starred with 26 points.

Harris SJW claimed their sixth win of their campaign, beating EHWLC 65-44, while Sir Robert Woodard Academy won their fourth game with a comfortable 92-67 success against John Roan School.
