ABL 17/18 – Week 8 Round Up

Check out what happened on the seventh week of the 2017-18 ABL season..

Northern Conference

Tyne Met picked up their second win as Ben Hogg fired in 40 points to lead his side to a 72-105 success away at The Sheffield College.

Meanwhile, Queen Ethelburga’s continued their winning start with a 51-59 victory on the road against South Cheshire as Eisley Swaine and Jayden Martin netting 13 points apiece.

Gateshead College returned to winning ways with a 69-80 victory at Vision West Notts with 18 points from Dan Ridley, while Archbishop Beck moved to 4-3 with an 80-62 home win over Nottingham.

STANDINGS

Central Conference

Alec Reed improved to 5-0 on the season as they eased to a 51-115 away win at Long Road with Victor Olarerin finishing with 21 points, six rebounds and five steals.

Also making it five wins from five were County Upper as they dominated Haringey in a 120-71 victory as Jonathan Bourne hit 25 points, while Uxbridge College earned a 69-92 road success over Gateway College for their first win in the ABL.

Eastern Conference

Erith School maintained their perfect record with an emphatic 108-32 win at home to Seevic with Michael Adebayo netting 22 points, while Ezekiel Oyemade posted 17 points and 16 rebounds.

Southern Conference

Holy Trinity School bounced back from suffering their first loss last week with an 81-58 win at home to Harris St Johns Wood as Kieran Lee and Josh Otor combined for 43 points.

St Charles also moved to 5-1 as they continued their winning run, beating John Roan School 44-76, while Three Rivers Academy fell to a 79-96 loss at home to Hackney Community College.
