Player of the Week: Max Jones

Max Jones produced an impressive double-double in Week 5 to earn the Player of the Week award.
The South Cheshire guard netted 47 points to go alongside a stellar 28 rebounds and lead his side to an 75-87 victory over West Notts College.
“I’m thrilled to be named Player of the Week,” he declared. “We knew we’d have to work hard to get the win against a tough West Nottingham side.
“We had a strong team performance, which is the main reason we got the win. As a completely new team, we need to learn from games like these going forward. It’s a tough league and we’re determined to do well.”
South Cheshire’s Coach added: “We are really please with the start Max has made to the season for the college and delighted he has been recognised for his recent performance. He is showing what a great offensive threat he is and also what a great rebounder he can be.”
Jones currently leads the league in scoring with an average of 39.5 points per outing.
