ABL Week 6 Round-Up

Six games took place in the sixth week of the inaugural ABL season. Find out what happened, below:

North Conference

Preston’s College made it four straight wins in the ABL after beating Queen Ethelburga’s 114-64. Javell Small led the way with a 33-point haul, while Melkisedek Moreaux almost pulled out a triple-double with 26 points, 11 rebounds and nine steals. Taylor Saipe had 37 for the visitors.

Elsewhere, Gateshead College bounced back from last week’s loss to defeat TyneMet College 66-62 behind 20 points from Sean Murphy.

Gateway College picked up their first win of the season as they narrowly edged out Milton Keynes College 75-76 on the road in overtime, after the hosts missed two free throws to snatch victory in the dying seconds.

North Conference Standings

South Conference

Northfleet Technology College are the unbeaten leaders in the South as they improved to a 4-0 start with a 71-76 win away at Holy Trinity School, despite 33 points from Denny Burling.

Also on 4-0 at the top are Hackney Community College after they recorded an emphatic 114-61 win at home to The Harefield Academy as Arbnor Halit led the way with 25 points, four assists and five steals. In support, Brayan Luna and Michael Da Silva added 20 and 22 points respectively.

Adomas Zemgulys had another strong performance to lead Barking & Dagenham College to a 60-81 win on the road at Seevic after posting 27 points, 10 rebounds as well as four blocks. Paulius Barsokius provided valuable support with 21 points and nine boards of his own.
