Player of the Week: Adomas Zemgulys

Barking & Dagenham College’s Adomas Zemgulys has been named the Player of the Week for Week 3 of the inaugural ABL season.

Zemgulys led his side to a 62-55 win away at Harefield Academy with 16 points and 14 rebounds – his second double-double in as many weeks.

“I’m glad that the hard work is paying off in practice,” the 6’8″ centre said.

“It feels good to be acknowledged and I’m just hoping that these types of performances will continue to have a positive effect on the team’s results and we can make a push for the playoffs later in the season.”

Head Coach Rikki Broadmore added: “Adomas has been working extremely hard in practice, day in day out. He is getting better each day and deserves Player of the Week – I hope he receives many more during the season.”

Barking & Dagenham now have a 2-1 record in the ABL, and return to action with a home game against Northfleet Tech on November 11..
